Meeting my dear friend and dance classmate (both disciples of Guru Smt. Narmada) Dr Sridhar after a long time! It is such a pleasure, and I remember him giving me Bharatanatyam costumes for my show. Can you believe that I didn’t have the money to buy costumes, no money to pay fees, and no support from my family? Only a few friends supported me.
We had a great time learning Bharatanatyam from Naru Aunty. Thank you, Naru Aunty, for giving us immense knowledge of Bharatanatyam.
Today, I feel proud to say that I have more than two truckloads of costumes, and all my differently-abled students receive free food, accommodation, dance training, scholarships, and opportunities to perform. Of course, they also get paid for shows…
