
The news of Dr. Manmohan Singh’s passing at the age of 92 is both shocking and heartbreaking. As someone who had the honor of being closely associated with him, I find it difficult to put into words the magnitude of this loss. Dr. Singh was not just a former Prime Minister of India; he was a beacon of wisdom, humility, and compassion. His quiet demeanor, coupled with his unparalleled dedication to the nation, made him a statesman of extraordinary caliber.
Dr. Singh was a great admirer of my work and a strong supporter of my organization, ‘Ability Unlimited,’ which is dedicated to empowering special students through the arts. His recognition and encouragement meant the world to me and to all those who have been part of this journey. One of my most cherished memories is when he personally invited me to perform for the entire cabinet ministry in 2005.
